You Can Make a Difference! Share Your Health Insurance Marketplace Advanced Premium Tax Credit Story with Families USA

Thanks to Advanced Premium Tax Credit (APTC) available through the Health Insurance Marketplace, a historic 21.3 million Americans signed up for affordable health insurance coverage this year. These tax credits are set to expire in 2025 and without an extension, millions of Americans could lose their APTC, and as a result, no longer be able to afford their health insurance coverage. Families USA is working on collecting stories from individuals that have benefitted from APTC to make the case to Congress that APTC should be extended. If you or anyone you know have benefitted from affordable health coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace, please consider sharing your story with Families USA.

Did You Know

• Over 90 percent of Marketplace enrollees receive APTC through bills passed by Congress, to help keep their coverage affordable.
• Beginning in 2021, APTC was increased to help make Marketplace health plans more affordable.
• APTC is set to expire at the end of 2025 which could jeopardize health coverage affordability in 2026.
